Throughout the Caribbean, Christmas is recognised as a time where family and friends come together to celebrate the birth of Christ. Traditionally you will find people having family meals where Ham, Turkey, Curried Goat and Sorrel drink are firm favourites on the menu and no Christmas dinner in the Caribbean is ever complete without a Christmas Cake. You will also find that the Salvation Army does a lot to help the people who are desperately in need of support, if even to provide a meal and some warm clothes. We encourage everyone to reach out this year, do something for someone who is in need of support to make their Christmas bright. We sincerely hope that all our friends and patrons who've supported us throughout the years will have a very Merry Christmas this year and a very prosperous New Year for 2010. Lots of love from Lovena Brown and the team. |

Caribbean Celebrities.Com is very pleased to bring to you, an Exclusive, a Special - One Of Only 2 recordings of The Great Marcus Mosiah Garvey's actual voice. This is such a treat that we had to bring this to you for your listening pleasure - this is a speech he gave when he was denied entry into the U.S. because he spoke up for Blacks across the world through his United Negro Improvement Association - he was seen as a danger but in true Jamaican style, he spoke out against it in a press conference - so here it is.

Each year, thousands of children across the Caribbean die from HIV and AIDS. Thousands more are forced to live homeless. We want to do our bit to address this. We respectfully ask our community and any other visitors to our site to please assist us by donating £1.00 to the "Caribbean Celebrities.Com Reaching Out Fund". We in turn - pledge to ensure that all your donations are given to charities across the entire Caribbean region who are already doing great work but with limited resources. We believe that together, we can make difference.
