Approaching the sensitive topic of young girls who nowadays act too big for their age, Tarrus accuses them of being "force ripe", and many would agree. The track itself creeps up on you, as admittedly we wondered about this one when it first came to our attention but turn the speakers up in your car and pump this one and it will soon have you bouncing in your seat. The riddim is indeed infectious, the bassline thumps like crazy and all round this is just what the dancehall needs, clean, fresh, infectious music. We like this, we really do ... big tune.
Jamaica's First Lady of Comedy
The Hon. Louise Bennett-Coverley O.M. M.B.E. Dip R.A.D.A., D. Lit (Hon)
Miss Lou has been described as Jamaica's leading comedienne, as the "only poet who has really hit the truth about her society through its own language", and as an important contributor to her country of "valid social documents reflecting the way Jamaicans think, feel and live. Through her poems in Jamaican patois, she raised the dialect of the Jamaican folk to an art level which is acceptable to and appreciated by all in Jamaica.
